An update from an unusually wet Friday in Towsnville

After giving first practice a miss, David and Anton are looking relatively strong ahead of what shoot be a dry weekend.

DAVID REYNOLDS – 4th– 1:12.7545

“Pretty happy with today, we didn’t go out in first practice today as we didn’t want to risk any damage on a slippery track. No point in wasting tyres either so we just sat in the garage and watched on.

“We rolled out for Practice 2 and got up to speed quickly; we were second fastest after the first run and then we tried various changes. We ended up fourth fastest although I did a bad job in the last sector so if I can clean that up we’ll be further up the road.”

ANTON DE PASQUALE – 6th– 1”12.8967

“We decided there wasn’t much to gain by running in Practice 1; we’re focusing on tomorrow and at this stage it is going to be clear so there’s no disadvantage of not running.

“Practice 2 was OK, we tried a few things and ended up relatively pacey. We ended up 6thwhich was good but going back to the normal qualifying format means there was less pressure on the day, particularly after not rolling out for first practice. It allowed us to try some things we wouldn’t usually if we were chasing a lap time, so hopefully we benefit from that tomorrow.”
