An update from Friday Practice at Phillip Island as Anton takes the top spot for Holden in both opening sessions.
Anton topped the time sheets with a 1:31.3181 in Practice 1, before taking the checkered flag as the fastest Holden, and 7th in Practice 2.
The team tried a different set up for the #9, David taking P14 in both sessions.
“I haven’t had the best day; my car just wasn’t fast enough. We opted for two different set ups across both cars to prove something; you always have to try and revisit things and today was one of those days it didn’t work. We thought it was going well based off practice times, then we put new tyres on and didn’t get anything out of it. If I can plug his set-up in I think I can go just as fast tomorrow.”
Anton De Pasquale:
“Practice was good, we started off strong with the fastest time in first practice. From there we tried a few different things in the second session; It was going well but we didn’t get the most out of our new set of tyres although we made the top ten. That was our goal for the day; it gives us a stronger starting position than we had in Tasmania, and we’re in the right part of the field going into qualifying. The car feels decent, we’ve been in the top bunch all day, so we’re there or there abouts.”
