All of the reaction from day one at the Australian Grand Prix…
Penrite Racing was Holden’s fastest during practice, and was there or there abouts when the grid was set.
Practice 1 – 1:57.2939– 16th
Practice 2 – 1:55.2721– 5th
Qualifying Race 3 – 1:55.0363– 13th
Qualifying Race 4 – 1:54.6336– 7th
“Practice went well, we ran two sets of greens in the last practice and ended up the fastest Holden, which is always a positive.
Qualifying rolled around and the car was handling differently than expected straight out the gate and we ended up P13. Admittedly I made a mistake and we should have been 8thor 9th, so I gave away a little bit there. The second qualifying session was a lot better for me, both myself and Anton were 7th and 8thand missed it by bugger all. It shows we are driving the cars as best we can, we’re both doing similar times and we’ve got slightly different setups in so hopefully we can learn something for a positive day tomorrow.”

Practice 1 – 1:56.0042– 2nd
Practice 2 – 1:55.4566– 8th
Qualifying Race 3 – 1:54.9159– 11th
Qualifying Race 4 – 1:54.6667– 8th
“We started off strong in practice and continued to develop the car, with both cars around the same speed all day. We have a little bit of work to do overnight so we will see what we have tomorrow, but the team did a great job today to turn a result just outside the top ten to get inside it. We have two more qualifying sessions before the races so hopefully we can move a few spots forward, we’re at the back end of the ten so we’ll try push forward towards the front end of it.”
